For Robin & Chris, the heart of their wedding was always going to be the people surrounding them. Having grown up together, their relationship has been shaped by years of shared history, overlapping friendships, and families who have known them long before they became a couple. From the very beginning, they envisioned the celebration less as a traditional wedding and more as an unforgettable gathering filled with all of their favorite people seated around one table.

A dramatic head table became the focal point of the reception, creating the feeling of one long, intimate dinner party set against the Newport waterfront. The details felt collected and storied: chinoiserie-inspired elements reminiscent of heirlooms tucked inside a grandmother’s cabinet, layered linens with a sense of softness and age, and glassware that looked as though it had been passed down for generations. Every element carried a timeless elegance while still feeling relaxed enough for a coastal celebration by the water.

Newport provided the perfect backdrop for the weekend. The day began with a first look and formal portraits at Marble House, where the grandeur of the architecture set a timeless tone before the celebration moved down to the water. Guests then gathered on the wharf for a ceremony framed by sailboats drifting through the harbor, with the perfect coastal weather carrying the afternoon into evening.

More than anything, the wedding was about honoring a lifetime of connection, the kind of evening where every guest felt like part of the story.
